Tour 2 Route
The All over India Tour starts in Mumbai and ends in New Delhi. We will visit multiple cities in our journey across India.
Start - Mumbai (2 nights - 5th Feb to 7th Feb)
The India tour starts in Mumbai (Bombay). It has great connectivity and plenty of options to fly into from US and Europe.
In Mumbai, we will spend two day - primarily with the intention to decompress after a long travel and get acclimatised to India. It can be pretty overwhelming and we want to take it easy on the first day. There will be light sightseeing and observing dogs in the day and plenty of opportunities for everyone to overcome jetlag.
We will see quite a few dogs and cats in Mumbai as well as visit a popular spot for pet dogs to walk where they often interact with the Indies.
Next stop - Pune (3 nights - 7th Feb to 10th Feb)
On the third day of the tour, we take a short 4 hour drive to Kapil's home town - Pune. This is where we will do the maximum dog observations, meet very interesting dogs and people who work with dogs. We will also do a short hike to a hill where we are likely to be accompanied by free living dogs. The hike is easy and not challenging.
Pune will also host a few non-dog activities that will enhance our spiritual journey of being with dogs. We will have art based therapy, music therapy and food experiences.
Next stop - Goa (3 nights - 10th Feb to 13th Feb)
From Pune, we take a short 1 hour flight to Goa - a small state in the south of India. We will be staying by the beach with plenty of opportunities to unwind and observe beach dogs (Kapil's favourite dogs).
Goa is a good break from urban life. The dogs and people seem more relaxed!
Next stop - Kolkata (2 nights - 13th Feb to 15th Feb)
From Goa we take a 3 hour flight to Kolkata in West Bengal.
Kolkata is known for its grand colonial architecture, art and culture. But our priorities would be the dogs! Kolkata is home to The Dog Lab - India's only scientific research centre that does observational studies on free living dogs in India. The founder of the lab Dr. Anandita Bhadra will conduct a lecture for us in the city.
Next stop - Agra (1 night - 15th Feb - 16th Feb)
From Kolkata, we take a 2 hour flight to India's capital city - New Delhi. From the airport we take a taxi straight to Agra, which is about a 4 hour drive. In Agra, we will see the Taj Mahal and the dogs in and around the Taj Mahal. We are staying in Agra to give us flexibility for those who would like to see the palace again (it looks different during sunrise, sunset and in the day).
New Delhi (2 nights, including day trip to Agra - 16th Feb to 17th Feb)
From Agra, we will take the taxi (or train) back to New Delhi for our final stop. In New Delhi, we will spend two days, with the tour ending on the last day in the evening. Your hotel will be booked until the following morning (18th Feb) since most of the flight options to leave India will be early in the morning.
In the city, we will observe dogs living under various stressors (some even political) and interact with communities who are striving extremely hard to maintain coexistence between humans and dogs.
A typical day
A typical day varies as per the city we are in but usually our day starts early. On some days we start as early as 6 am while on others it might be a bit late at 9 am. Morning time is when dogs are out and about so this time is critical for us to step out as well. On days when we get out early, breakfast is done after our observation session. On days we leave later, we eat breakfast at hotel and then head out.
From around 10 am to 3 pm we have time scheduled for rest. We may also have a discussion in this time or a non-dog activity. And lunch, of course.
In the early evening we step out again to observe the dogs before heading for dinner.
CEUs
For our 2025 tours we got approved CEUs from CCPBT (21), IAABC (25) and KPA (30). We will get them sorted for 2026 tours as well.

For people with physical disabilities / Issues with walking
Observing dogs is done on foot. So we will spend a lot of time standing and walking around the streets of India. It is important that you are fit enough to be able to walk around 1-2 kilometers at one go.
India is unfortunately not great with infrastructure for people with physical disabilities. Airports and hotels will have provisions but public spaces will be challenging to navigate. If you have concerns please write to me on kapil@getfloof.com.
Age requirement
We require all attendees to be adults and over the age of 18 to attend this tour.
Get in Touch
If you have any questions about the tour, please reach out on kapil@getfloof.com. You can also WhatsApp on +91 904 905 6193 or find Kapil on facebook messenger (Kapil Patwardhan)
Want to reserve but don't know which tour?
Our preference is that at the time of booking you know which tour you want to attend. But in case it's not possible to decide right away, select a tour that you are most likely to attend and write to me on kapil@getfloof.com regarding the same. Since tours will be based on first come first served, you might not get plenty of time to make a switch later.
